This week we hit a big snowstorm on thursday and we got 6 inches of snow!!!
We also studied rocks and minerals by working in packets and studying rocks.

The first thing I did was reading. I am reading The Wish Giver. Then the class did their state projects. My state is Ohio. Next is recess. After that we had music(more of a work sheet). Now were talking about lunch. I had a ham sandwich. Math was boring. We are learning about Latin America in social studies. At the end of the day I am room care for the week.

This is the first week back to school from vacation and my guess is that everyone is tired. Then we start off with the daily quote then at ten the classy went to P.E. but before that we talked about our vacation. When we came back we went to Mrs. Weller's room then we did read aloud then we went to recess. Then we went to lunch then math finally we watched a Rosa Parks video then we went home.

Today we got to school and did are daily quotes. Then Mrs.Falk's reading group went down. After that the black group met with Mr. Denaker. WE talked about the words and phrases we did not understand at first and how we figured them out. After that we had snack. Then we went to art class. In art we worked on painting our animals in different values, and colored are back round with a sponge . Then we got back we had some ELA. Then we went straight to Social Studies! In Social Studies we worked on making notes about the place we got assigned to. The notes were on it's climate, land forms, cities, and the effect we have on its geography. Then we had recess. Next we had a great lunch. Then we had math I had review for a test. Then we had some Word Study. Then we read, and next we packed up. I had a great day at school!

Today our special was art. In art we traced pictures of athletes in motion. For lunch we had taco salad. Today we also worked on our state contacts. We had outside recess but if you wanted to you could stay inside. Because it is Tuesday we have homework club.

A few minutes later we started the test - oh gee!!!!!No one has really been okay because we're nervous about the test , thank goodness its the last day !!! Then, Mr, Denaker met with the gold group. After that, we had snack. Next, was computer, in computer we worked on a PowerPoint about challenger, to make Mr, McCarthy think next years 5th graders should do challenger to, because it is a fun learning experience. Soon, it was social studies in social studies we watched a rock movie! Then, was recess. Soon after, we had lunch Thursdays special was cheeseburger or hamburger. Later, was math in Mrs, Pangia's math class we reviewed for the test that was Friday. After that, we all silently read a book or did are homework. Finally, my group got called to pack up and it was the end of the day!!!

Today was another fun day in Mr. Denaker's class. First we wrote down the quote "If you want to make peace, you don't talk to your friends. You talk to your enemies . The quote was said by Moshe Dayan an Israeli General that lived from 1915-1981. Then the gold group met with their book called Hatchet by Gary Paulsen. After the gold group met, we had snack and the boys played Risk. Then we went to P.E (Physical Education) and we ran for three minutes and jump roped for three minutes. After that we did some practice ELA test. Later we had recess and lunch. I had Pizza for lunch. After lunch, we had math and my math class is doing the order of operations. Then we got ready for my government test.

At computer class we worked on our I-movies. When we got back from computer, we had social studies. Were learning about the government. Then we had recess. We all played in the snow. Next we had lunch. Lunch was really good today. At 1:15 we went to our math classes. At the end of the day, part of the class went to chourus while the rest of the class recicled. Then we had social studies. We learned about the types of community's we live in, a suburban, urban, rural, and metropolitan. Read out loud was next Mr. Denaker is reading Hope! Finally we had recess but we only had 14 minutes of it. Music was after that we made music to candy mountain with instruments i was really fun. Lunch was next the food was yummy! Math was after that in my math class we did a review on LCM. Class meeting was next we talked about ways to stop us from losing so much recess, and said compliments. That was the end of our great day.

Today was another good day in Mr. Denaker's class. First we did the daily quote and then we had independent reading and reading groups. My group just finished our first guided reading book called weasel. Then we had snack and Physical Education.(P.E) The boys went roller blading and it was REALLY FUN ! Then after P.E a student teacher came in and we worked on our interviews. My partner in Jasmine. Then Mr.Denaker told us about the Geography Unit we are doing. Then we had recess and I played kick ball with Miss. Philips and Mr. Sanford's classes. Then we had lunch and after lunch Mr. Denaker had a riddle for us . After the riddle we had math. I am in Mrs. Pangia's Math Class and we had a test about Place Value. Then we had Spelling. I am in Mr. Schaefer's Spelling Class and for me It is a good level of Spelling for me. Then we had a fire drill. Lastly we packed up and went home.

Thursday is done and gone and the book fair has gone with it. So we started the day with are read aloud book Flipped. After that we had P.E. and we saw that the book fair had moved to the gym, and for exercise we had four stations outside. In writing we wrote 2 paragraphs for our parents at open house for them to read and write back to. Next we had recess and after that we had lunch and went outside 20 minutes into lunch to play. Then we had math and I learned about exponents and writing them. Finally we had spelling and in spelling I had my test on the words I learned this week.

In the fighting ground today we read that Jonathan and the three hessians found an abandon farm with a cow and a boy in the shed. Jonathan then showed the hessians the boy. Today our class went to Mendon Ponds Park for the whole day! We didn't even have a schedule and could do what ever we wanted and eat whenever we wanted to! Lots and lots of kids played kickball, baseball, football and some kids just played, walked and talked. We had until 1:40 when we got on the buses and came back to school. This was one fantastic day!

Today was a half-day!!!!!! We started off the day with the daily qoute"Energy and persistance conquers all things". After that we had second step which really was a partywith doughnuts!!!! Next a person from middle school came in to answer questions. After a half an hour we went to a drum assembly. My opinion was it was really booring and the floor was very hard. Finally we had reading groups, Tuckets Ride and red group met. Eventually we updated our collins folders and got and sighned our yearbooks!!!

Today we went to the Monroe County Courthouse until about lunch.

Our class and Mrs. Camobreco's class saw a Drug Court to see if people that have been doing illegal drugs have stayed clean of drugs for at least 6 months.

We then saw a court where people had been sued and they were asked questions like '' can you afford to hire a lawyer? ''

Finally we went to a room and did basically a demonstration on what happens to people when they may have done something illegal.

We then went back to school and had lunch, then recess, Canadian Province Skits, and finally, we went home.

This is the way the day went today. First we did the qoute and watched the Cougar News. Next we went to gym. In gym, our class played tag games and steal the goal. The other class went biking. Jordan had Illinois, she gave out popcorn since it is the state snack. Trace had Viriginia. Then Mrs. Camobraco's class did a presentation on Argentina. Next we had lunch, the meal of the day was turkey with gravey. After that we went to a 5th grade slideshow. That was fun. Then we had reccess and Emma showed us her gysier she made. Today just started like any other day first we did are bell work then after we did are bell work we had to do our assesments on the writers. Then the morning announcments started. At 9:00 second step started with Lauren's mom. After we had snack for seven minutes. During snack Falk's group had to go down. White group went to the front table for reading goup and they are reading Tucket's Ride.Now Cory is showing the class his book report he did a monolugue it was pretty cool! Later we went to lunch at 12:40 p.m . Now we are going to math to do our final math test's . Finally it's time for reccess at recces I played four square it was fun.Reccess is for 15 to 20 min. each day. Now it is the end of the day and everyone is getting packed up for home.

Today we presented our book reports from friday. In the morning Jake presented his book report and we got to go outside to geo-cash where his dad hid the prizes. Then we learned and took notes on Latin America. In music our class watched a movie about a guy who is selling instruments to kids and getting them in bands. For math we reveiwed for the final test. Then we came in and read to reading buddies. My reading buddie broke a plastic baseball in half.

Today we stared out with the cougar news.Then at 10:15 we walked to the middel school.When we were there we went right to the autitorum.Then we had a speach about the middel schooland we asked questions.After that we went to a room with 6th graders.Then we went to lunch for an hour.Then when we went back to the autitorum we had someone play some music and everyone loved it.Then after the music we walked back to manor.Then we paked up and went home.

We began with gym.It was really fun.We played dogdeball and steal the goal combined.After that we did reading groups. Red group,gold group,and black group met.Then that we did poemtry we read three poems and we did question.Next we went to Mrs.Camobreco to learn about Latin America.Chile and Panama presented.They did really good.Finally we had lunch outside.After lunch we had math.My math class study for the end of the year test.Last but not least we did map checks.

This is Brett and today all the people who got 50 points in GBGT went to Minnehans!We started off on the mini golf course.Then we went to the batting cages.It went from 10mph-75mph!Next were the kiddie go-carts and the arcade.Then we had lunch,ice cream and went to the regular go-carts!I think I have whiplash from getting hit!This is nBrett signing off........

When we got to school we got to school we listened to the morning annoucements. After that we shared about our weekends. Then we voted on what to do to Mr. McCarthy if we can " walk to the moon ". The choices were to have him sing kareoke, ducktape him to the wall, or have a backwards day. In reading one of the red groups met to talk about thier writing peice and black group met to. Also we had music, we watched the Music Man. Then we had lunch. Meal of the day was chicken patty. At the end of the day we split open our rocks. That is what we did.

This morning we had reading group. The Red Group, White Group, and Gold Group met.The red group is reading Henry Read Inc. The White Group is reading Tucket's Ride. Lastly, the Gold Group is finding a book to read. After reading we had our special. It was art. In art, we drew value scales. When we were done with that, we drew Mrs. Zauski. After art we had recess. In recess we played 4 square(like usual). Then after recess we had lunch. For lunch it was pizza. Then we had math. In Mr.Sanford's class we worked on subjects to teach as teachers. After math we worked on Canada groups.

Today started out like any other day, bellwork. After our class went to gym, in gym everybody thought we were going to run the mile. We didn't though, insted we threw balls at targets, played catch with footballs, played catch with scoops, played hot box, and played steal the gold, everybody loves steal the gold. When we got back to the class room we did the daily quote, and then Mrs. Falks group went down and had reading. Soon a substitute came in for a little bit while we watched a Bill Nye movie about rocks. Right when Mr. Denaker came back the T.V. started messing up. Luckily Mr. Denaker fixed it. Once again we read. Then we shared weekends. Finally we went outside, and then went to lunch. Everybody thought that since we were being loud we would have silent time but we didn't. In Mr Shaefer's math class everyone turned in the math test. Tomorrow Mr. Shaefer's math class is going to havee a kool-aid party. Next was social studies we worked on our Canada project. Today was a great day!

First we had writing and we practiced our scripts for our province Ontario. Then we had art and we weaved in art. After, art I went to Mrs. Falk's and some of us in there did our DRA'S and some of us read our reading books and wrote down two questions.Before recess we had my birthday treat and I brought in cookies and lollypops and after that we had recess and it was really cold,and some people played lacrosse.Lunch was pretty bad because people were screaming so we had silent time where we could not talk for the rest of lunch.In math, which was after lunch, we had a test on probability and that test was pretty easy.Science was fun because we started a new unit which was rocks and minerals and we had to tell what color the rocks were also the texture,odor,shape,and also the weight.We got packed up after science and went home!

The day started off with the daily quote, then the Pledge of Alleigence and the Cougar News. In P.E. we had relays and played hot box, football, scoops and pitched. Then, we did our Canada province research in groups. We had snack and independantly read while the gold group met. Lunch came after and Lunch of the Day was Sloppy Joe's and after that we went into math.
Mr. Sanford's class had reviewed a test. When the whole class was back, we researched our states, I have Alaska. There was time given for homework and then we were called to get our backpacks and go home.

To start the day we took our heart to heart letters and put on the mailing address. After that we shot our recyling videos! Once that was over we had a nice snack. Next we had computer and learned about scanning paperinto digital. After we had some reading groups, red group, white group, and gold group met today. Today, May 15 was a busy day. This morning, we did our daily quote by a man name Ken Hakuta. Canada was next. We shared our information with our group on our providence. After that we had Art. Mrs. Zouski tought us our next prodject, weving baskets with colored reed. Then we had reading. Mr. Denaker met with the red, black, and gold group. Peak, is our Read- out- loud book wich we read next. Recess was next. During that time, some people play 4 square, kickball or play on the playground. Our next subject was lunch. Usally we eat outside (if its nice) but if not, we eat in the cafeteria. Math was next. Everyone split into thier groups and left to there math class. Our last subject was writing. Recycling is what we are working on. Every group is working on a skit for a different recycling. We all then packed up to go home.

Hello, this is Austin A. for today's blog! We started out with the daily quote. We then went straight to Phisical Education class. There we did Hotbox, Badmitten, Outdoor Batting and paddle Wall Ball. That lasted until 10:00. We then started reading groups. The White group and the Gold group met to review the book they were currently reading. After that we went to an outside recess, most of the kids play 4-square. We then went to lunch, the meal of the day was noodles with meat sauce. next was math, my class was reviewing ares & perimiter! We then finished up and presented the rest of our Recycling Skits! Finally, we packed up and enjoyed our evening!
